Be Careful What You Wish For...
Jasmine Flynn, CPA, never imagined that the old perfume bottle she'd picked up in a junk store would change her life. But when the djinni (not genie, if you please) appears and Jasmine takes one look at the most handsome man she's ever seen, she decides to play along and make a wish. After all, what woman wouldn't wish for a man like Raziq--tall, lean, and breathtakingly gorgeous--but can she ever trust a man again after what she's been through? As Raziq explains the ins and outs of magical wishes, Jasmine learns more than she ever wanted to know about demons, sorceresses, and otherworldly powers until, without warning, Jasmine and Raziq find themselves in the midst of a war between the powers of good and evil, as well as a battle for her own heart...Reader & Reviewer Raves:
"Love's Potion is a fun, sexy read. Monica Jackson's take on genie life is wonderful and hilarious. If you're looking for a fun paranormal romance with flawed but likeable characters, this may very well fit your ticket." --Candy, Smart Bitches, Trashy Books
"I just finished Love's Potion last night (bought it as I left work @ 4pm, done reading @ 10pm). It was wonderful. As an avid reader (and bookseller) of African-American romances and a current student of metaphysics, wicca, & earth-based spirituality, I felt it was the perfect paranormal love story. Thank you for expanding beyond the sometimes 'cookie-cutter' genre of romance." --Toni Campbell, Reader
About Monica Jackson:
Monica Jackson lives on the Land of Oz side of Kansas. She fully embraces diversity (including Wicked Witches, Munchkins, and that goody-two-shoes Glenda, the Good Witch) since she resides on the far edge of the diverse divide too. Monica Jackson's books, known for quirky humor and attitude, often wander from well-trod plot pathways. She spends far too much time online, loves bubble baths, and avoiding both productive activity and moderation.
How Monica Got Started:
Monica's wanted to write ever since she could hold a pencil. She had surgery in 1994, the longest time off work (as a registered nurse) she'd ever had in her life. She used the time to write her first novel and sold it to Kensington for the Arabesque line in 1995. In 1997, it finally appeared on the shelves. That book Midnight Blue, was produced as a BET television movie of the week in 2000. Eight novels and eight novellas and short stories later from that first book, she's now a national bestselling author (says so on the books!).
Obligatory Props:
Monica has won awards for her work, and has been nominated for Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. She's appeared in several radio and television appearances and has given workshop presentations. She has done television spots and also has been featured in a People magazine article, unrelated to her writing, but hey, it counts.

Kelly,
I just discovered Monica's blog and I love it. I have Potion in my TBR pile. She's sassy, witty and a real pistol. I look forward to reading her commentary everyday.
